Following the development of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and subsequent approval by Cabinet on 27th February 2021, a multi-stakeholder committee was established to ensure that the measures proposed in the NAP are implemented. The Implementation Committee comprises both State and non-state actors including:

- Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs
- Ministry of Labour and Social Protection
- Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry (State Department for Trade)
- Ministry of Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action (State Department for Gender)
- FIDA- Kenya
- United Disabled Persons of Kenya (UDPK)
- Centre for Minority Rights & Development
- Global Compact Kenya
- Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry
- National Council on Administration of Justice
- National Council for Children’s Services
- Federation of Kenyan Employers
- National Gender Equality Commission
- COTU-Kenya
- Kenya Human Rights Commission
- National Treasury
- National Environmental Management Authority
Additional members may be co-opted on a need basis.
The Committee which was inducted in a workshop held in October 2021 has developed a detailed work plan outlining how to implement and monitor the policy actions under the NAP. The Plan which was approved and validated in April 2022, includes: Policy actions as set out in the NAP, strategic activity that Government will undertake to implement the policy action, indicators to track progress of implementation, responsible government actors who are key in the implementation of the policy actions, partners, timelines and an estimated budget.
The Implementation Committee is overseen by the Department of Justice and the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights.
